I am a former Directv Tech, Uverse Tech, Dish Network and cable tv, 15 years. As a child all we could get was an off air antenna to pick up the local vhs programming. I've installed numerous antennas before the 2005 - 2009 FCC digital change over. Afterward people where forced to buy digital TV's (HD) or converter boxes. I watched this commercial this morning and thought to myself "wow people are soooo ignorant that this guy is straight lying to customers". Do NOT buy this junk. You will only pickup the closest local station. Small town maybe 1 or 2 channels. In the city, maybe 10 at the most. MAYBE. You don not pickup "your favorite sports channels" like the idiot in the commercial keeps repeating. He also says "you pick up Top network shows", BS... If you want to use an antenna, go buy a good amplified Antenna. If you want to save money and still have tv, just drop your current package. In today's society, technology is advancing fast. Netflix, on-demand services available through internet. Just don't but this junk. You can make this same product with a foot long piece of coax cut and attached to the coax port on the tv. I've done it many times.
